Team Focus Tracks: Multi-Week Cohorts

Templates, cadences, and analytics tips to run engineering, design, or study cohorts with recurring Study Spaces blocks.

Template

Engineering Delivery Wave

3–4 weeks · 2–3 blocks/week · 50/10 default · demo Fridays.

Template

Design Crit Cadence

4 weeks · 2 blocks/week · 35/7 for mocks · async Loom wrap.

Template

Study Cohort

6 weeks · 3 blocks/week · 25/5 for reading, 50/10 for problem sets.

How-to

Plan, share, measure

  1. Create a Track from the Tracks page and name the program.
  2. Add recurring blocks (time, duration, room link). Use tags like sprint, critique, or exam-prep.
  3. Share the Track link with your team; each block opens the right room and timer.
  4. Run blocks; task check-ins and streaks attach to the Track for analytics.
  5. Review weekly analytics: attendance, completions, and block adherence. Adjust duration or cadence as needed.

Host script (2 lines)

  • Kickoff: “Task + goal for this block; timer is 50/10; post your task in the panel.”
  • Wrap: “What moved? Link if applicable. Next block’s time + duration.”

FAQ

How many people per Track?

4–12 works best. Larger groups should split into multiple Tracks by timezone or role.

Do attendees need accounts?

Sign-in is recommended so streaks and attendance log to the Track, but guests can still join blocks.

Can blocks have different durations?

Yes. Set per-block durations—shorter for planning, longer for deep work. The timer commits per block.

How do we keep momentum?

Use a two-line script: kickoff (task + goal) and wrap (what moved + next). Keep breaks short and predictable.

Research notes

Engagement studies show opt-in groups sustain motivation; consistent cadence plus brief scripts reduce coordination load. Track analytics let you tune duration and attendance without adding meetings.
